Hey there!

I am a relational psychodynamic therapist and offer telehealth sessions to anyone residing in Washington State.

In my work, I am drawn to helping others discover more of themselves – to be curious about their choices, desires, and feelings, and perhaps especially their ambivalence. I believe that all of us have multiple parts to who we are, and that it is in getting to know ourselves more deeply that we may engage with ourselves and others more fully. While psychotherapy often involves exploring and reflecting on current and past painful experiences, a key goal of mine is to help individuals cultivate a capacity for play.

Psychotherapy provides a consistent environment to explore and reflect on who we are and who we hope to become, often navigating the paradox of both acceptance and change. With this, it also provides guardrails to “try on” new ideas and feelings, whether ones that we are discovering for the first time or ones that have not been allowed (for whatever reason) to be stated or felt.

Specialties

Depression comes in many different forms, with symptoms and severity differing from person to person. I am passionate about working with individuals experiencing depression and recognize that for many, their experience may be hidden externally but felt internally.

Young Adults & Adolescents

Much of my work is with teens and young adults between the ages of 13 and 30. My work with teens often focuses on exploring social relationships, self esteem issues, and emotional disturbance. My work with young adults often focuses on relationship/interpersonal issues, loneliness, depression, and work/career related stress.

There are many transitions we face in life: some that we choose and others that more or less happen to us. Regardless, life transitions are often full of unique challenges, and I consider it a privilege to come alongside others as they explore and navigate the complexity of change.
