Passion & Experience
Our therapists are equipped to provide services across many areas of focus but have particular passions & expertise in the following forms of care.
Trauma & Abuse
Childhood trauma impacts us long after we have grown and left our family of origins. It shows up in how we relate to others, how we view ourselves, patterns of thinking and behaving, and the kinds of relationships we choose to engage in. It is courageous work to enter into the pain of the past in order to gain more freedom to live in the present.

Religious & Spiritual Issues
Spiritual traumas are often thought of as religious leaders abusing their power and churches or institutions covering it up, but it is so much more. It can be the impact of harmful theology or purity cultures, isolation and grief over a changing belief system, or event experiences of betrayal if you’re rejected by your community.
Sex, Sexuality & Gender
Human sexuality is complex and varied. Stepping into the expansive and evolving spaces of sex, sexuality and gender is an special honor. Our therapists strive to hold a non-judgmental, unconditional positive regard for all people wherever they find themselves in their journey of deepening their connection to and awareness of themselves as they explore and understand their bodies, gender identity, desires and arousal structures.

Children, Adolescents, & Parental Support
Many people do not have language to name their emotions or process difficult experiences, but this is especially true for children who are still growing and developing. Child Centered Play Therapy offers children authority and autonomy within the boundaries of therapy to explore their inner world.
As we age into adolescence and early adulthood, so much happens developmentally, biologically, emotionally, sexually, and practically. It is a joy and delight to get to come along side teens and young adults during this formative time of their lives.
Parenting can bring it’s own form of challenges and stir up our own inner longings and wounds. We offer space to support parents who are working through their own healing or are learning new ways to support their children. This can be done through individual sessions or by joining a support group or parenting class.
Women & Life Transitions
Female identifying individuals face a unique set of challenges that are influenced by various social and cultural expectations. Women are often expected to care for everyone around them and put their own needs last — if they are even able to name those needs or desires.
We work with people navigating new jobs and relationships; those adjusting to parenthood, divorce, and terminal illness; and others struggling with friendships, grieving losses, or facing difficult realities (i.e., abuses and traumas) they’ve previously overlooked, denied, and resisted admitting.
Just like they say on airplanes, you may need to put on your own air mask before you can help others put on theirs.
